This is an oil painting but you can also detect elements of a collage underneath the painting, peeking through in spots. I love how using collage in my paintings lends an element of surprise and intrigue. It’s a pretty random process, which I love because I never know the feeling the end product will evoke. This simple vase of flowers is somehow more than just that( as if flowers aren’t more than enough!).
